The difference lies in three things: on the one hand, assets in Fonda DAM are directly linked to products in your PIM, so that a product page always shows the right photos and documents — automatically. On the other hand, Fonda DAM is searchable by product attributes, not just by filename. A shared drive doesn't scale as your catalog grows.
Enterprise DAM systems are built for large organizations with dedicated content teams, complex rights structures, and comprehensive approval workflows. They cost tens of thousands of euros per year and require months of implementation.
